Before you invite us in
Good questions.A confident next step.
Ask about the person, the qualification, and the work. We’re here to help you understand all three.
Which certification do your inspectors hold?
Our inspectors hold the Certified Mold Inspector (CMI) credential through MICRO, the Mold Inspection Consulting and Remediation Organization.
What does MICRO’s CMI training cover?
MICRO’s program covers mold and moisture fundamentals, property assessment, sampling methods, laboratory interpretation, and report preparation. The CMI credential is earned after completing the course and passing its final examination.
Can I ask about my inspector’s qualifications?
Yes. Ask our team about the inspector assigned to your visit, their CMI certification, and experience relevant to your property. We can discuss those details along with the proposed inspection scope before you book.
Will my inspection include mold testing?
Sampling is considered when it can help answer the question. We explain any proposed collection and laboratory analysis in advance. Some concerns can be assessed through observations and measurements without taking samples.
Do your inspectors also remove mold?
ProDetect provides independent inspection and testing. If corrective work is needed, the findings can help you discuss an appropriate scope with a qualified remediation or repair provider.
What will I receive after the inspection?
The agreed scope determines the report. It can include observations, photographs, relevant measurements, laboratory results when samples are collected, and an explanation of the findings and next steps. Areas that could not be assessed are documented.
