Thermal inspection
A different view.A clearer picture.
Surface temperatures can tell part of a property’s story. We use infrared imaging, relevant measurements, and careful interpretation to investigate moisture concerns and unusual thermal patterns.
A closer look. An explanation you can use.

Three tools. One thoughtful assessment.
See the pattern.Understand the context.
Explore how imaging, measurements, and interpretation work together.

See where to look
A temperature pattern.A useful starting point.
An infrared camera maps surface temperature differences. Those patterns help us choose areas for a closer look, alongside what we can see and what you’ve noticed.
- What we look at
- Unusual warmer or cooler areas on accessible walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.
- What comes next
- Compare the pattern with surrounding materials, recent conditions, and relevant measurements.
A thermal pattern is a clue. It does not, on its own, confirm moisture or mold.
Where it can help
Start with what changed.Find a useful next step.
Your concern guides the inspection. We confirm the areas, methods, and access that fit your property.
After a leak
Focus attention on affected walls, ceilings, and nearby materials.
Water-damage assessmentsUneven comfort
Investigate temperature differences, insulation patterns, and possible air movement.
HVAC concernsA wider property question
Connect thermal observations with the rest of your indoor environment.
Environmental assessmentsQuestions about electrical hot spots or structural concerns? Tell us before booking so we can confirm the scope and appropriate specialist involvement.
From the first question to the findings
Careful in the inspection.Clear in the explanation.
Technology helps us investigate. The value is understanding what the observations mean.
Start with your concern
Tell us what changed, where you noticed it, and any previous leaks or repairs. We agree on the inspection areas and access before the visit.
Scan. Compare. Investigate.
We review accessible surfaces with thermal imaging, compare patterns, and take relevant moisture measurements within the agreed scope.
Make the findings useful
Receive documented observations, relevant images and readings, access limits, and an explanation of sensible next steps. Discuss any deadline before booking.
A few good questions
Know what it shows. And what comes next.
Understanding the method helps you make sense of the findings.
Can a thermal camera detect mold?
A thermal camera shows surface temperature differences; it does not identify mold. A pattern may direct us toward an area to investigate. Visual observations, moisture measurements, and sampling when appropriate provide additional information.
Can thermal imaging see through walls?
No. Thermal cameras record information from surfaces. Conditions behind a wall can sometimes influence its surface temperature, but the image does not reveal everything inside the wall.
Does a cooler area always mean moisture?
No. Materials, insulation, air movement, weather, and other conditions can produce temperature differences. Suspected moisture patterns need to be checked with appropriate measurements and site observations.
Will the inspection damage my walls?
Thermal imaging itself is non-contact. Any additional testing, including the use of moisture probes or further access, is discussed as part of the scope before proceeding.
How should I prepare for a thermal inspection?
Share any leak history, repairs, unusual odors, or rooms that feel different. Make agreed inspection areas accessible where practical. Our team will discuss useful operating conditions and any preparation specific to your property.
What will I receive after the visit?
The agreed inspection includes documented observations, relevant thermal images and readings, access limitations, and next-step guidance. We explain what the observations suggest and what may need further evaluation. Confirm report timing before booking if you have a deadline.
Let’s take a closer look
A question about your space?Start with a conversation.
Tell us what you’ve noticed. We’ll discuss whether thermal imaging fits your concern, the scope of the visit, and what to expect.
